When I gaze into your face
I seek not painted beauty
But naked spirit
When I gaze into your eyes
I seek not reflections of myself
But images of you
When I gaze into your thoughts
I seek not lust
But understanding
When I gaze into your heart
I seek not passion
But friendship
When I gaze into your soul
I seek not you, or I,
But us
