Mrs. J.F. Buote: News of the death of Mrs. F.J. Buote which occurred March 17 in New York, where she was spending the winter with her daughter, has been received here. The funeral took place in Calvary cemetery, New York, on March 19. She leaves one daughter, Miss Alma L. Buote, of New York. Her husband, F.J. Buote, died 20 years ago. He was the founder and editor of the French paper L'Impartial, which was published at Tignish, P.E.I., for many years. She leaves two brothers, George Goguen, of Cormier Village, N.B., and Alfred, of South Brewer, Me. Three sisters also survive: Mrs. John LeBlanc, Mrs. John Gallant, of Dorchester Crossing, and Miss Suzanna, of Sackville. Mrs. Buote had many friends by whom she will long be remembered.
